Connections
Connecting Strava
Connect Strava and your completed runs and rides shape your daily targets — automatically, even when Gauge is closed.
Connect
Go to Settings → Connections and tap Connect on the Strava row. Strava's authorization page opens in your browser; approve access and you're done. Your Strava login and tokens never touch the app — Gauge only ever sees your activities.
What happens on every activity
The moment an activity finishes uploading to Strava, it's pushed to Gauge. Gauge:
- Adds the workout to your history (deduplicating against the same session from Apple Health, so nothing counts twice).
- Re-grades that day and its week — your calories and carbs adjust to what you actually did, not just what was planned.
- Sends you a short push nudge that your targets moved.
If you're on My own numbers mode, your targets are yours — Strava activities are recorded but never change your numbers.
Disconnect
Tap the Strava row again and confirm Disconnect. New activities stop syncing; nothing already logged is removed.
