Saved meals, recipes, and one-tap meals

Your Library (a Gauge Pro feature) holds three kinds of reusable food, in three tabs: Foods, Recipes, and Meals. Open it from the + button on the macro bar at the bottom of Home, or Settings → Saved Meals.

Foods — single items

Save any logged item by opening it and tapping Add to library. From the Foods tab, tapping a saved food logs it instantly. Use the search bar when your list grows; the trash icon removes one.

Recipes — home cooking with per-serving macros

Tap New recipe from photo or text, then snap a cookbook page or screenshot (or paste text on iOS). Gauge parses the ingredients and opens the Recipe Editor, where you can rename it, set Servings, and fine-tune ingredient amounts — macros scale automatically.

To log a recipe, tap it and enter how many servings you had. It logs as one entry, like "Chili (2 servings)". Long-press a recipe to edit or delete it.

Meals — your usual, in one tap

A meal group captures several foods that you always eat together, like your standing breakfast.

  • To save one: on Home, long-press a meal's header (like Breakfast) after logging it. The Save as Meal sheet appears with everything from that meal checked — uncheck items to save just a subset, name it, and tap Save Meal.
  • To use one: open Library → Meals and tap the group. Every item logs as its own entry, so you can still edit or remove pieces individually afterward.

Long-press a meal group to rename or delete it. There's no per-item editing inside a saved group — if your usual changes, just log the new version and save it again.
